BLACKSBURG – Head coach Justin Fuente announced on Thursday that Virginia Tech senior linebacker Sean Huelskamp has earned the distinction of wearing Frank Beamer’s honorary No. 25 jersey for the Hokies’ game against Miami on Saturday.
Saturday’s game will mark the second time that the Centreville, Virginia native has received this prestigious honor. His first time wearing the No. 25 jersey came last season against Tennessee in the Battle of Bristol. He had two tackles on the day. Huelskamp has five tackles as well as one quarterback hurry in 2017 and is a key contributor for the Hokies on special teams.
At the beginning of last season, head coach Justin Fuente announced that a special teams player of the week would be selected to wear the No. 25 as a tribute to Coach Beamer and his legacy of special teams excellence he spawned for the Hokies.
