It was a big weekend for a number of our NFL Hokies. Here’s a look at some of the highlights . . .
Bills 30, Buccaneers 27
QB Tyrod Taylor, TE Logan Thomas and the Buffalo Bills defeated the No. 2 offense of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Taylor completed 20 of 33 passes for 268 yards and one touchdown. He also ran the ball six times for 53 yards. Thomas caught his first NFL touchdown, a 22-yard strike courtesy of Taylor. It marked the second time that duo had connected for a score – they also did it for the Hokies in 2010.

Bears 17. Panthers 3
CB Kyle Fuller and the Chicago Bears held their own against the No. 3 defense of the Carolina Panthers. Fuller leads the Bears in solo tackles with 31. He had five tackles and one pass deflection in the win, including a highlight reel quality unending of Carolina QB Cam Newton. TE Bucky Hodges is a member of the Panthers practice squad.

Seahawks 24, Giants 7
S Kam Chancellor and the Seattle Seahawks defeated the N.Y. Jets. Chancellor recorded six tackles in the win. With the win, the Seahawks have extended their win streak to three games. Former Hokies’ S Nick Sorenson serves as the secondary coach for the Seahawks.
Saints 26, Packers 17
RB Trey Edmunds, the New Orleans Saints and their No. 4 offense defeated the Green Bay Packers in Green Bay. With the win, the Saints extended their win streak to four games. They have also taken first place in the NFC South. WR Corey Fuller is on IR for the Saints after sustaining an injury during the preseason. QB Jerod Evans is a member of the Packers practice squad.
Rams 33, Cardinals 0
Head coach Bruce Arians and the Arizona Cardinals fell to NFC West rival L.A. Rams in London, England. Tech Alum Nick Rapone serves as the defensive backs coach for the Cardinals’ staff. T Vinston Painter is on the Cardinals’ practice squad. FB Sam Rogers is a member of the Rams practice squad.
Dolphins 31, Jets 28
The Miami Dolphins defeated AFC East rival N.Y. Jets. Down 28-14 entering the fourth quarter, the dolphins scored 17 points in the come from behind victory. WR Isaiah Ford is on the IR after suffering an injury during the preseason.
Eagles 34, Redskins 24
CB Kendall Fuller and the Washington Redskins fell to the No. 5 offense of the Philadelphia Eagles. Fuller tallied four tackles in the contest. S DeAngelo Hall is still on the PUP list as he is rehabbing from a torn ACL suffered last season but he was one of the stars of the show at the Redskins Runway Show, a fashion show charitable event. Tech alum Torian Gray is member of the Redskins’ staff while alums Eugene Chung and Keith Gray are both on the Eagles’ staff.
Vikings 24, Ravens 16
S Chuck Clark and the Baltimore Ravens were defeated by the No. 4 defense of the Minnesota Vikings. Clark recorded one tackle in the contest.
Raiders 31, Chiefs 30
The No. 3 offense of the Kansas City Chiefs fell to the Oakland Raiders in a Thursday night thriller. The Raiders scored on the final play of the game to secure the victory. LB Dadi Nicolas is still on the PUP list after suffering a ruptured patella tendon in Week 17 of the 2016 season.
