BLACKSBURG – No. 14 Virginia Tech returns to action this weekend as the Hokies face North Carolina on Saturday, Oct. 21, at 3:30 p.m. as a part of Homecoming weekend in Blacksburg. The game can be seen ESPN2 with Mike Patrick and Tommy Tuberville on the call.

TECH SET FOR HOMECOMING VS. UNC
• Virginia Tech (5-1) enjoyed a bye weekend following a 23-10 win at Boston College (10/7). Tech will host North Carolina (10/21) in a homecoming matchup on Saturday.
• UNC (1-6) has suffered four straight losses and is 0-4 in ACC play. UNC’s only win this season was a 53-23 win at ODU (9/16). Tech posted a 38-0 win vs. ODU (9/23).
• UNC is coming off a 20-14 loss vs. Virginia (10/14).
• Tech registered a 34-3 win at No. 17 UNC (10/8/16) in a contest played amidst Hurricane Matthew. UNC’s last visit to Lane Stadium was a 30-27 OT win for the visitors in a contest that marked Frank Beamer’s home finale.
• Tech owns a 4-1 mark against ACC Coastal Division foes under head coach Justin Fuente.

• With a win over North Carolina, Tech head coach Justin Fuente would bypass C.B. Cubbage (15 in 1921-22) for the most wins by a Virginia Tech head coach in his first two seasons.
