Kendall Fuller, Torrian Gray get win for Washington

Here’s a look at highlights from Week Two where Hokies were in action.
Redskins 27, Rams 20
CB Kendall Fuller and the Washington Redskins traveled across the country to got the win against the L.A. Rams. Fuller finished the day recording four tackles. Tech Alum Torrian Gray serves as the Redskins’ secondary coach.
S DeAngelo Hall is still on the PUP list as he is rehabbing from a torn ACL suffered last season. Sam Rogers who is a member of the Rams’ practice squad did not suit up for the contest.
Ravens 24, Browns 10
S Chuck Clark and the Baltimore Ravens defended home field at M&T Bank Stadium against divisional rival Cleveland Browns. Clark recorded his first career tackle in the win.
Seahawks 12, 49ers 9
S Kam Chancellor and the Seattle Seahawks got their first win of the season against division rivals San Francisco. Chancellor finished the day with five tackles.
Panthers 9, Bills 3
Tyrod Taylor, Logan Thomas and the Buffalo Bills fell to the Panthers in close game against the league’s number one total defense. Taylor completed 17 of 25 passes for 125 yards. Taylor also carried the ball eight times for 55 yards. The former Virginia Tech signal caller had the Bills driving for a potential go-ahead score at the end of the game, but just missed the outstretched fingertips of WR Zay Jones who almost hauled in a game-winning TD.
TE Bucky Hodges was picked up by the Panthers and was placed on their practice squad.
Chiefs 27, Eagles 20
The Kansas City Chiefs won a hard fought match against the Philadelphia Eagles. LB Dadi Nicolas is still on the PUP list, recovering from a ruptured patellar tendon suffered during Week 17 of the 2016 season. Tech alums Eugene Chung and Keith Gray are both members of the Eagles’ staff.
Patriots 36, Saints 20
RB Trey Edmunds and the New Orleans Saints lost to at home to the defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots. Edmunds made the team thanks to his ability to play special teams and posted two kickoff returns for 43 yards.
WR Corey Fuller is on the injured reserve for the Saints.
Buccaneers 29, Bears 7
CB Kyle Fuller tallied four solo tackles for the Bears, but Tampa’s smothering defense prevailed as Buccaneers posted the win at Raymond James Stadium.
Dolphins 19, Chargers 17
The Miami Dolphins won a close match that game down to the last minute against the L.A. Chargers. 2016 draft pick Isaiah Ford is on the injured reserve after suffering a knee injury during the preseason.
