Coming off its first-ever four overtime game, and the first ever for an ACC school as well, Tech will look to end its two-game slide at Boston College, who is in the midst of their own losing streak - five straight. Virginia Tech Visits Boston College For an ACC Halloween Duel

• Virginia Tech is coming off a wild, 45-43 loss in four OTs vs. Duke (10/24). The Hokies ran 100 offensive plays in the contest.
• The Hokies will visit a Boston College squad that suffered a 17-14 loss at Louisville (10/24). BC ran 52 offensive plays in the game.
• VT is seeking to snap a two-game losing streak, while BC is hoping to avoid a five-game losing skid for the first time since 2012.
• Boston College is seeking its first ACC win since a 28-7 victory vs. Syracuse (11/29/14).
• Tech will face a BC squad that leads the ACC in scoring defense (11.8 ppg), total defense (218.0 ypg) and rush defense (62.8 ypg).
• Tech’s offense leads the ACC in TD passes (17), while Boston College defense has permitted an ACC-low seven TD throws.
• Boston College ranks 14th in the ACC in both pass offense (104.2 ypg) and TD passes (6).

• Tech is 50-6 (.893) all-time in ACC games when holding foes to 17 points or less, including a 24-2 (.923) mark on the road.
• Since 2004, VT is 4-1 when holding BC under 17 points. That lone loss was a 14-10 setback vs. No. 2 BC (10/25/07).
• Boston College has been held to 17 points or fewer in all six of its games against FBS foes in 2015.
• BC has lost 13 straight ACC games when scoring 17 points or fewer and is 1-15 overall in such games dating back to 2012.
• Boston College has lost seven of its last eight ACC games and has been held under 20 points in seven of those contests.
• BC has held five of its last six ACC foes to 17 points or fewer (1-5 record) and been outscored by only 3.0 ppg in those outings.

• Boston College ranks second in the ACC in third-down conversions at 23.5% (27 of 115).
• Tech CB Brandon Facyson is tied for the ACC lead with nine passes defensed.
• Virginia Tech CB Adonis Alexander is tied for second in the ACC with three INTs.
• Virginia Tech has a bye prior to a Thursday game at Georgia Tech (11/12). BC hosts NC State (11/7).
