Virginia Tech Athletics to produce Signing Day webcast
Signing Day Live set to air Wednesday at 11 a.m.

BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech athletics department will be broadcasting a live football signing day show this Wednesday, Feb. 4, which serves as college football’s National Signing Day.

Tech fans can watch the show, titled Signing Day Live, for free through hokiesports.com or through HokiesXtra. For fans unable to watch the show live, they can go to an archived version that will be on hokiesports.com and HokiesXtra.

Bill Roth, the Voice of the Hokies who serves as the voice of the football and men’s basketball broadcasts at Tech, will serve as the host of the show, and it will feature live interviews with Chuck Cantor, Tech’s director of player personnel for football; recruiting coordinator Bryan Stinespring; and coordinators Bud Foster and Scot Loeffler, along with video highlights and biographical information of each football recruit.

The show will also feature Barton Simmons, the director of scouting for 247Sports, to break down Tech’s class, and Andrew Allegretta, who serves as the radio voice for women’s basketball and baseball, will be interviewing each of the Hokies’ seven mid-year enrollees. Allegretta and former Tech player Mike Burnop, who serves as the color commentator on Tech’s football and men’s basketball broadcasts, will break down the film of a couple of the Hokies’ top recruits. Plus, there will be an update on the construction of the new indoor facility and Tech’s former players in the NFL and more.

The show starts at 11 a.m. and will run for approximately two hours.
