2013: Saw action at corner for six plays against Western Carolina.

2012: Continued to help prepare the offense with his weekly work on the scout team at cornerback … Recorded a 360-pound front squat during off-season team testing … Returned an interception 15 yards during the first spring scrimmage … Collected a pair of tackles during the spring game.

2011: Worked on the scout team defense at cornerback … Had a personal-best 340-pound front squat during off-season workouts … Broke up a pass and had three tackles during one of the Hokies’ spring scrimmages.

2010: Joined the team as a walk-on when school started … Worked at cornerback while redshirting … Improved in all four major lifts in the weight room and posted a 38-inch vertical jump … Had a tackle for loss, two total tackles and a pass breakup during one spring scrimmage and a pair of tackles in another.

High School: Played running back and defensive back for Mike Smith at Hampton High … Rushed for over 500 yards and three touchdowns his senior season … Also a standout in track, winning the Peninsula District Outdoor long jump championship as a senior.
