Hokies in the Playoffs - A Look at Division Championship Weekend

Here’s a look at how former Virginia Tech players did this weekend in their respective NFL playoff games. Tech began the playoffs with seven players on active 53-man rosters on teams in the playoffs with four more players on practice squads. Vinston Painter was added from the Broncos’ practice squad to the active squad on Jan. 14. After this weekend, two players on 53-man rosters are still alive for a Super Bowl XLVIII championship.

HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK: Virginia Tech goes 2-for-2 in placing players in the Super Bowl as a pair of Maury High School graduates who played at Virginia Tech are on winning rosters … Kam Chancellor had 11 tackles, two pass break ups (including a decleater of Vernon Davis) and an interception for the Seahawks.
