Men's and women's cross country garner USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors
Krein earns All-Academic Individual award

BLACKSBURG, Va. – Not only did the men’s and women’s cross country teams have successful seasons on the course, but the squads also had successful seasons in the classroom as both teams earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors as announced by the USTFCCCA on Wednesday morning.

The women’s cross country team, bolstered by Hilary Krein who was the sole Hokie to garner All-Academic Individual honors, posted a cumulative 3.02 GPA. The Hokie men earned the honor after garnering an impressive 3.19 cumulative GPA.

Overall 226 women’s teams and 179 men’s teams earned All-Academic honors. In order t be eligible for the award, the combined team GPA must be at least a 3.0. On the men’s side, 10 total ACC teams earned the honors, the second-most of any conference in the US.
