NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Virginia Tech women’s cross country team moved up two spots to fifth in the latest Southeast regional rankings, as announced by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) today. The Hokie men remained in the sixth position in the regional rankings.
NC State stayed atop the men’s Southeast region, while Duke is the top-ranked women’s squad in the region.
The Hokies return to action on Friday, Sept. 30, as they will split the squad between two meets. Hokie runners will either compete on campus at the Virginia Tech Open at the Tech Cross Country Course or travel to Charlotte, N.C., for the Charlotte Invitational at McAlpine Park.
