2012 Cross Country: Captured the second All-Region honor of his career by placing 22nd at the NCAA Southeast Regional … Became only one of five men’s runners in program history to earn the honor twice in a career … Helped Tech earn its first ever ACC team title and first NCAA Championship birth since 1987 … Ran his top 8k race of the season at the ACC Championship, finishing with a time of 24:27.5 for 19th place … Was Tech’s third finisher at the Charlotte Invitational, taking eighth as the Hokies won the team title.

2012 Outdoor: Earned first team All-America honors with a fourth place finish in the 1500 meters at the NCAA Championship (3:44.47) … Ran 3:40.27 in the NCAA semifinal round … Set the school record in the 1500 meters at Stanford’s Payton Jordan Invitational (3:39.22) ... Bettered Gary Cobb’s record (3:39.35) that had stood since 1987 ... Set the Tech record in the mile at the Roanoke Twilight (3:58.91), thus becoming the first man in Tech history to go under four minutes outdoors ... Runner-up in the 1500 meters at the ACC Championship (3:41.50) ... Qualified for the NCAA Championship in the 1500 meters with a time of 3:46.31 at the NCAA East Prelims ... Won the 800 meters at NC State’s Wolfpack Last Chance with a season best and team leading 1:49.61 ... Finished fourth in the 5000 meters at the Raleigh Relays with a personal best 13:58.75 … Runner-up in the 1500 meters at the Colonial Relays (3:45.33), while anchoring the winning 4x800 meter relay (7:32.42).

2012 Indoor: Redshirted … Competed unattached in the mile at the VT Final Qualifier (4:09.73).

2011 Cross Country: Earned All-Region honors by finishing 19th in a career-best 10k of 30:43.3 at the NCAA Southeast Regional Meet … Finished 10th at the ACC Championship Meet in a career-best 8k of 23:45.0 to earn All-ACC honors for the first time in cross country … Ran 50th at the Indiana State Pre-National Invitational (25:11) … Named the ACC Men's Cross Country Co-Performer of the Week on Oct. 4 after leading Tech to the team title at the Charlotte Invite with a fourth place overall finish in the 8k (24:28.0) ... Named Academic All-ACC ... Earned team Coaches Award.

2011 Outdoor: Led the team in the 1,500 meters after his third-place finish at the ACC Championships (3:43.62) … Placed second in the event at the NCAA East Regionals (3:48.33), qualifying for the NCAA Championships where he finished 14th (3:49.45), earning second team All-America honors … Led the team in the 800 meters, setting a PR of 1:49.07 with a win at the Aggie Classic … Ran the third leg on the school record 4x800-meter relay at the Penn Relays (7:21.28) … Anchored the team-leading distance medley relay (9:46.70) … Set a season best in the 5,000 meters at the Sun Angel Classic (14:12.56) ... Competed at the USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the 1,500-meter run and finished 13th ... Qualified for the 1,500m final at USA Championships with a career-best 3:40.43 ... Named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team and team Co-Most Valuable Performer.

2011 Indoor: Named All-American in the mile run, placing seventh in the finals (4:01.80) … Automatically qualified for the NCAA Championships in the mile run, setting the school record at the Alex Wilson Invitational (3:58.41) … Previously set the school record with a victory at the Virginia Tech Challenge (4:01.53) … Won his second consecutive indoor ACC title in the mile run (4:07.47) … Set a then-school record in the 3,000 meters in his first competition of the season at the Appalachian Invite (8:07.35) … Anchored team-leading distance medley relay at the Alex Wilson Invitational (9:40.95).

2010 Cross Country: Redshirted.

2010 Outdoor: Earned All-ACC honors in the 1,500-meters, placing second at 4:00.02, after winning the prelims at 3:51.12 … Placed second at the Georgia Tech Invite in the 1,500-meters, posting a season-best 3:42.17 … Won the 1,500-meter race at the Jessie Owens Classic (3:43.65) … Anchored the winning 4x800-meter Relay at the Colonial Relays (7:29.80) ... Named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.

2010 Indoor: Won an ACC title in the mile run, coming out in front during the finals (4:10.36) and the prelims (4:07.80) … Tech’s second-consecutive championship in the Mile, Hammond’s first … Placed first in the mile run a week prior at the VT Challenge, crossing the line at a season-best pace of 4:03.80 … Took the 3,000-meter run competition, posting a season-best 8:10.27.

2009 Cross Country: Placed 27th out of 243 runners at the Chile Pepper Invite with a career-best, 10,000-meter cross country time of 30:49.90 … Was the third Hokie across the line, and 62nd overall at the NCAA Southeast Regional … Earned 16th out of 94 runners at the VT Alumni Invite.

2009 Outdoor: Qualified for the NCAA East Regional meet in the 1,500-meters after running 3:47.12 at the Georgia Tech Invitational ... Clocked a 3:52.22 in the event at the NCAA East Regional ... Placed fourth in the 1,500-meters at the Tar Heel Classic, earning a time of 3:49.92 ... Took fifth, clocking a 3:49.97, in the Colonial Relays’ 1,500-meter run.

2009 Indoor: Finished runner-up in the 1,000-meters at the VT Challenge, earning a time of 2:27.31 ... Took seventh in the 3,000-meters with a time of 8:22.65 at the Fred Hardy Invite.

2008 Cross Country: Ran at the NCAA Southeast Regional, placing 61st with a time of 32:27 in the 10,000-meter race … Posted a 15th-place finish, clocking a 24:54.3 at the ACC Championships … Clocked a season-best 30:52 in the 10k Chile Pepper Invite for 45th place out of 257 runners … Received Academic All-ACC honors.
