• 2018 First-Year Player Draft – ninth-round selection, Cincinnati Reds

2017: Appeared in 16 games, which included 10 starts (third most on the team) and one quality start … Had a 7.78 ERA in a total of 59.0 innings, struck out a team-high 71 batters, walked 28 and posted a 3-3 record … At the end of the regular season, his 10.83 strikeouts per nine innings ranked him 48th in the nation and finished 46th … Picked up his wins in starts at USC Upstate (Feb. 19) and Northeastern (May 9) and out of the bullpen at Radford (April 11) … Tossed a season-high 7.2 innings in the Upstate start and in five starts tossed at least 5.0 innings … In five of six appearances out of the bullpen, threw at least 1.0 innings including 4.0 at Radford ... Inherited 10 runners and six of them scored … Retired 4-of-6 first batters faced in relief outings … Struck out a season-high 11 batters at Duke (March 11), tied for the second-most ever for a pitcher in an ACC game, and struck out at least eight in four starts and at least four 10 times … Pitched a total of 31 scoreless innings, including 4.1 consecutive … Also, threw 15 perfect frames, struck out the side a team-high four times and, at one point, retired nine straight batters … Had a team-high eight double plays turned behind him, including seven GDPs.

Inherited four runners and just one of them scored … Retired 3-of-4 first batters faced … Struck out a season-high four batters twice, versus Radford (March 1) and against Campbell (March 8) … Pitched a total of 15 scoreless innings, including 10.0 consecutive … Also, threw six perfect frames and, at one point, retired seven straight batters … Had four double plays turned behind him, of which two were GDPs.

2015: Redshirted the season.

2014: Appeared in eight games making two starts … Had a 6.75 ERA in a total of 13.1 innings, struck out 10 batters and earned a save … In his six relief appearances, had a 1.74 ERA (best among pitchers with at least 10 IP) in 10.1 innings and opponents hit just .167 against him … Overall, batters hit just .269 … Threw at least 1.0 innings in five relief outings and did not allow an earned run in three of them … Struck out at least two batters three times, including five versus Longwood … Pitched a total of eight scoreless innings, including 4.0 consecutive … Also, threw four perfect frames, struck out the side once, and, at one point, retired nine straight batters ... Had two double plays turned behind him, both GDPs.

High School: Earned three varsity letters while playing for Coach Ken Gray at Mason … Named all-conference as a junior and senior, and earned Cincinnati Enquirer Player of the Year and Ohio High School Division 1 player of the year … Career numbers included a 19-3-1 record with 170 strikeouts in 140 innings pitched … Also bowled for the Comets and was named first team all-conference as a junior and senior.
