Career Highlights: Finished Tech career second all-time in two categories – lowest career walks-per-nine innings (1.97) and career strikeout-to-walk ratio (3.30) … In 2013, his 1.88 walk-per-nine inning ratio (21 in 100.1 IP) was the 13th best ever at Tech in a single season … Among, those with at least 100 innings pitched, it was the fifth-best ratio and it was the best by a starting pitcher since 2001 (Ian Ostlund, 1.33) … Picked up a victory over No. 4 Florida State in a complete-game effort in a 3-2 Tech win (March 29) … Also, in a start in ACC Baseball Championship, held No. 7 Seminoles scoreless through eight frames before Hokies earned walk-off 3-2 win (May 23).

2014: Started a team-high tying 12 games and appeared in 16 total … Had a 2-8 record with one save and threw a team-high two complete games … Posted a 3.61 ERA in 82.1 innings pitched and struck out 57 batters (led team in all three) … Opponents batted just .267 against him … Registered seven quality starts (first on team) and also led team with eight games of at least six innings pitched … Went at least seven innings a team-high six times … Struck out at least two batters in 12 appearances, five or more five times and at least eight a team-high three times … Pitched a total of 55 scoreless innings, including a 8.0 consecutive, and struck out the side twice … Also, threw 24 perfect frames and, at one point, retired a career-high 16 straight hitters … In the ACC, finished tied for third in complete games … In ACC-only games, finished tied for third in complete games (2) and 10th in innings pitched (65.0).

2013: Started a team-high tying 15 games and appeared in 17 total … Had a 5-4 record, combined on one shutout and threw a team-high tying two complete games … Posted a 4.93 ERA in 100.1 innings pitched (second on team) and struck out a team-high 75 … Opponents batted just .295 against him … Registered eight quality starts (second) and tied for the team-lead with 11 games of at least six innings pitched … Went at least seven innings six times … Struck out at least two batters in 15 appearances, more than five seven times and at least 10 a team-high twice … Pitched a total of 71 scoreless innings, including 9.1 consecutive, and struck out the side twice … Also, threw 31 perfect frames and, at one point, retired a season-high nine straight hitters … In the NCAA, was 132nd in walks allowed per nine innings (1.88) and 132nd in strikeout-to-walk ratio (3.57) … In the ACC, was sixth in innings pitched and tied for third in complete games … In ACC-only games, was ninth in innings pitched (58.2).

2012 (at Santa Fe College): Compiled an overall 10-4 mark for the Saints in 14 starts … Posted a 1.33 ERA in 95.0 innings with 70 strikeouts and one complete game … Was selected First Team FCSAA All-State, First Team All-Mid-Florida Conference and named Mid-Florida Conference Pitcher of the Year … Had 13 quality starts and struck out at least five batters in nine starts … Threw a complete game on April 6, a four-hit, one unearned run effort with a season-high nine strikeouts.

2011 (at Georgia Tech): Appeared in six games for the Yellow Jackets … Posted a 5.06 ERA in 5.1 innings with four strikeouts … Combined on a shutout versus St. John’s on Feb. 25 … Did not allow a run in first four games (four innings pitched).

High School: Earned varsity letters all four years while playing for Coach Tony Blackburn at C. Milton Wright … Was a two-year captain and helped the Mustangs to the 2010 state championship ... Following senior year, was named first team all-state, the Baltimore Sun Player of the Year, a first team All-American by Louisville Slugger and a USA Today Second Team All-American ... Threw a no-hitter in the state playoffs in 2010, and was one error away from a perfect game.
