Career Highlights: Became the first Hokie pitcher to save more than six games in a single-season since 2003 and his 11 saves in 2013 was the sixth-most ever at the school … His 14 career saves is fifth all-time in a Tech career … Earned save against Georgia Tech on May 24, 2013 to send Hokies to first ever ACC Championship Game … Tossed 78 career scoreless innings, 27 were perfect frames … Struck out the side four times, posted a career-high 16.0 straight scoreless innings pitched and at one point, retired a career-high 16 straight batters.

2011: Appeared in his first game in over two years (May 2, 2009 at Florida State) when he entered in the sixth inning versus USC Upstate (5/4) and retired his first batter ... Allowed a single and a walk to the other batters faced in the game, his only appearance of the year.
2010: Redshirted the season.
2009: Appeared in 22 games, second most on the team, with 20 out of the pen … Had a 4-1 record, combined on one shutout and posted a 6.09 ERA … Threw a total of 34.0 innings and struck out 29 batters … In relief appearances, threw at least one inning in 16 outings, including at least two on five occasions, and did not allow an earned run in eight of them … Struck out at least two six times, including a season-high six once … In two starts, tossed four total innings, two each, and did not allow an earned run.
High School: Lettered three seasons as a center fielder and pitcher for Coach Gene Watkins at Mira Mesa High in San Diego, Calif. … Was named to the All-Eastern League first team as a senior after going 6-1 with nine saves from the mound and hitting .410 with two home runs and 40 runs batted in from the plate … Was named to the Union Tribune All-Academic Team … Earned the same honors after a junior season in which he batted .395 and sported a 1.27 earned run average with 27 strikeouts in 27.2 innings pitched.
