Career Highlights: Has 15 career game-winning RBIs and five career game-winning runs scored … The RBIs include three-walk offs - a three-run home run in a 9-6 win over Cincinnati on March 2, 2014, a bases-loaded walk to beat No. 1 Virginia 2-1 on March 13, 2015 and a two-run home run in a 2-1 victory over Boston College on May 3, 2015 (Senior Day) … The BC walk-off HR was the first in ACC regular season for the Hokies since May 14, 2009 (Austin Wates, 10th-inning HR to beat No. 10 Virginia, 5-4) ... He also hit a grand slam versus Radford on February 25, 2014 … In his first 16.1 innings on the mound, did not allow an earned run – which spanned two seasons.

2014: at the plate – One of four Hokies to start all 53 games – 20 at first, three at second, four at third and 26 as the DH … Was second on the team with 19 multi-hit games, including three with three and one with four … Tied for the team lead with 12 multi-RBI games, including five with three and two with four, and added seven multi-run scoring games … Had a season long nine-game hitting streak and reached base in 14 straight games … Batted .302 (third on the team) with 60 hits (third), including a team-high 16 doubles and seven home runs, also added a triple for a team-high 99 total bases and a .497 slugging percentage … Scored 35 runs (third) and led the team with 43 RBIs … Drew 31 walks (third), including two intentional, and was hit by a team-high eight pitches for a .407 on-base percentage (third) … Was 2-for-3 on stolen base attempts … In the NCAA, was ranked in 10 categories – 127th in home runs, 129th in doubles, 130th in sacrifice flies (5), 134th in doubles per game (0.30), 143rd in RBIs per game (0.81), 144th in home runs per game (0.13), 170th in RBIs, 186th in walks per game (0.58), 191st in slugging percentage and 195th in walks … In the ACC, was top 10 in five categories (at the end of the regular season) – tied for sixth in home runs, seventh in total bases, tied for seventh in doubles, eighth in RBIs and 10th in slugging percentage – and finished ninth in slugging and tied for ninth in RBIs in the final stats … In ACC-only games, finished tied for second in home runs (5), ninth in total bases (56) and 10th in slugging percentage (.479).

2013: at the plate – Made 54 starts – 24 at second, 11 at third, 10 at first, nine as a DH and three as a pitcher – and played in 60 games total … Had eight multi-hit games, eight multi-RBI games and four multi-run scoring games … Had a season long 10-game reached base streak … Batted .208 with 41 hits, including nine doubles and four home runs for 62 total bases and a .315 slugging percentage … Scored 24 runs and knocked in 29 more … Drew 20 walks (fourth on the team) and was hit by two pitches for a .284 on-base percentage … Was 2-for-3 on stolen base attempts.

on the mound – Appeared in 10 games making three starts … Posted a 2-0 record with one save … Had a 3.00 ERA in a total of 21.0 innings and struck out 12 batters … In his seven relief appearances, had a 1.59 ERA (best among pitchers with at least 10 IP) in 11.1 innings and opponents hit just .200 against him … Overall, batters hit just .216 … Threw at least 1.0 innings in five relief outings and did not allow an earned run in four of them … Struck out at least two batters four times … Pitched a total of 14 scoreless innings, including a season-high 7.2 consecutive … Also, threw six perfect frames and, at one point, retired a career-high 11 straight batters.

2012: at the plate – Made 33 starts – 20 at first, 11 as the DH and two at third – and played in 43 games total … Posted 14 multi-hit games, including one game with three hits and one with four … Also had one multi-run and five multi-RBI games … Had a six-game hitting streak and reached base in 12 straight during the season … Batted .336 with 44 hits, including 10 doubles, one triple and two home runs for 62 total bases and a .473 slugging percentage … Scored 16 runs and drove in 21 … Drew 11 walks, had a .393 on-base percentage, and stole one base … As a pinch hitter, was 2-for-3 (two RBI singles) and also drew a pair of walks.
