2012: Was one of three Hokies named to the All-ACC Academic Team ... Appeared in 16 games overall and made eight starts … Posted a 2-3 record with a 5.68 ERA … Threw a total of 58.2 innings, second on the team, and struck out a team-high tying 52 batters … In games out of pen, inherited six runners and allowed just one to score … Finished the season 193rd in the NCAA in Strikeouts Per Nine Innings at 7.97 … Threw three innings of relief against Bradley (2/18), struck out five batters and allowed one unearned run ... Picked up the win in relief versus West Virginia (2/24) after allowing just one earned run in 2.1 innings pitched and striking out five as Tech rallied for the win ... Tossed a season-high 4.1 innings in first Hokie start, allowing just two earned runs and striking out two at High Point (2/28) ... Struck out the side in the seventh against Yale (3/3-G2) ... 2008 – 2011 (at Babson College): Compiled an overall 17-4 mark for the Beavers in 26 starts and earned two saves in three relief appearances … Posted a 2.73 ERA in 178 innings with 157 strikeouts, nine complete games and three shutouts … In just three full seasons at Babson, ended second on the school’s all-time list for wins and third in strikeouts … Was named first-team all-conference in 2008, 2009 and 2011, earned the NEWMAC rookie of the year (2008), and was a two-time All-New England honoree … In 2008, was 5-1 in eight starts (one complete game shutout) with a 2.82 ERA in 51.0 innings and 36 strikeouts … In 2009, was 8-1 in nine starts (six complete games) and earned a save in two relief appearances … Posted a 2.58 ERA in 69.2 innings with 71 strikeouts … In 2011, was 4-2 in eight starts (two complete game shutouts) and earned a save in only relief appearance … Had a 2.56 ERA in 56.1 innings with 49 strikeouts.
