the season and posted a career-best 16th place finish at the Bridgestone
Golf Collegiate. Johnson was in the lineup for every event this season. His
score counted for the team in 25 of 31 rounds played and he was fourth on
the team in scoring with a 75.13 average. Sophomores Dan Woodbury and
Ian Hildebrand competed in three and five events, respectively, during the
season and Woodbury was named the team’s Most Dedicated Player. The
team’s Rookie of the Year, freshman Blake Fiest, played in eight tournaments,
including the ACC championship. Fiest posted six rounds at par-or-better in
those events, which was third on the team. Freshman Logan Yates played the
fall season and then took the spring semester off for family reasons; however,
he certainly made an impact on the team. In the five events during the fall
season he was second on the team in scoring with a 73.62 average, led the
team in “Crunch Time” scoring at 72.80, shot par or better five times, and was
low for the team at the VCU/Janney Shootout in his first collegiate event.
