GREENSBORO, N.C. – Sophomore Vanessa Panousis and freshman Rachel Camp have been named to the 2015 All-ACC Women’s Basketball Academic Team as announced today by Commissioner John Swofford.

Panousis, a human development major, has had an outstanding sophomore campaign, having set the Virginia Tech single-season three point record with 74 going into tonight’s game. In addition, she moved into sole possession of fourth place on the Tech career three-pointers made list and set a new record for most treys by a sophomore. Panousis leads the Hokies in scoring, averaging 13.6 points per game and has scored in double-digits 23 times this season, including five games with 20 or more. Panousis has also handed out a team-best 96 assists.

Camp, a psychology major, has also had a solid year. The rookie set a single-game scoring record, becoming the first freshman to ever top the 30-point mark after dropping in 33 against Western Carolina. Second on the team in scoring, Camp is averaging 11.5 ppg while pulling down 5.7 rpg. She’s tallied four double-doubles this season and scored in double-digits 14 times, including seven games with 20 or more.

Louisville and Pitt lead all schools with three student-athletes named to the All-ACC Women’s Basketball Academic Team. Boston College, Duke, Virginia and Virginia Tech each placed two members on the team.
