Badin Lake, N.C. – Virginia Tech has a two round total of 6-over-par 582 and moved up into sixth place at the 61st Annual ACC Men’s Golf Championship on Saturday. The tournament is being played at the par-72, 7,102-yard Old North State Club in Badin Lake, N.C.

The Hokies entered the second round in 11th place after an opening round 10-over par 298. Tech improved 14 stokes on Saturday, posting a 4-under-par 284.

Junior Scott Vincent (Harare, Zimbabwe) carded a 4-under-par 68 on Saturday and is tied for fourth place overall with Cody Proveaux of Clemson following a two-day total of 3-under-par 141. Ollie Schniederjans of Georgia Tech leads the tournament with a 9-under-par 135. Vincent posted six birdies and a lone double bogey in his Satuday round.

Senior Bryce Chalkley (Richmond, Va.) is tied for 19th place at 145, after posting a 2-under-par 70 on Saturday and junior Trevor Cone (Concord, N.C.) is tied for 29th at 147. Freshman Joey Lane (Great Falls, Va.) is tied for 44th place at 150, after an even-par 72 on Saturday and sophomore Maclain Huge (Lovettesville, Va.) is tied for 53rd place at 153.

Georgia Tech leads at 10-under-par 566 after carding a 10-under-par 278 on Saturday. First round leader Florida State is second at 568, Clemson is third at 570, Wake Forest is fourth at 573 and Notre Dame is fifth at 581, one stroke ahead of the Hokies. Virginia and North Carolina are tied for seventh at 586, NC State is ninth at 589, Boston College is 10th at 591, Maryland is 11th at 593 and Duke is 12th at 594.

The final round will take place on Sunday. The Hokies will tee-off from the first tee, beginning at 10:30 a.m. and will be grouped with Notre Dame and Wake Forest. Live streaming of the final round will begin at 2 p.m. at: http://theacc.co/MGolfchamp.
