2012 ACC Champions

The 2012 edition of the Hokies went down in the history books as the men became the first team in the school's history to win an ACC title. Pacing the way for the Hokies was Will Mulherin, whose efforts were good enough for an individual ACC title as well. Along with Mulherin, Brayden Burleigh and Thomas Curtin also finished in the top 10 while Michael Hammond and Leoule Degfae finished 19th and 22nd respectively.

All-Americans

The Virginia Tech cross country program has a had a total of nine student-athletes earn All-American status in its history with Tasmin Fanning and Will Mulherin being the only Hokies to achieve the honor twice. Mulherin is the latest Tech runner to garner All-America honors after finishing 28th at the NCAA Championships in 2012.

The Virginia Tech Cross Country Course is one of the few on-campus courses in the nation. Its close proximity to Rector Field House and to the Johnson-Miller Track Complex gives Tech's cross country program symmetry when it comes to training and competition.

Brand New Nutrition Oasis

The newly renovated Nutrition Oasis acts as a fueling station for athletes to "bookend" their training with pre-exercise and recovery fuel. By upgrading and quadrupling in size, this space offers a smoothie bar, recovery beverages, fresh fruit, nuts, bagels, and Gatorade products, as well as space for nutrition education and food demos.
